[MSEide-MSEgui-talk] Undefined symbol "ppoll" on GhostBSD (FreeBSD distro).

fredvs
Hello Martin.

I get a error message when trying to run mseide (or other msegui apps) on
GhostBSD Mate 64 (http://www.ghostbsd.org):

---> mseide: Undefined symbol "ppoll" ---> then the application stops.

Works for me on FreeBSD 11.0. Do you really need it? I am not happy to
manage another OS with not many users.
Maybe the Linux compatibility layer must be installed?

Yes, for me too on a "Pure X" FreeBSD OS.

Me no, but maybe other people use GhostBSD.
And if for you it is only a $ifdef to add somewhere .... ;-)

But, ok, forget about it.

Thanks.

It is not so easy because the ppoll functionality must be emulated or the
direct syscall must be used. I fear to use syscalls because the API could be
changed.

Re: [MSEide-MSEgui-talk] Undefined symbol "ppoll" on GhostBSD (FreeBSD distro).

fredvs
Hello Martin.

I did install last GhostBSD11.1-mate-amd64.

With this release, MSE works perfectly out of the box.

Sorry for the noise.
